AADAP’s West Adams Worksource Center co-hosted a Joint Holiday Mixer on December 16th at the Crenshaw Baldwin Hills Plaza. This was a collaborative effort between AADAP, Crenshaw Chamber of Commerce, Metro, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors, Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, Crenshaw/LAX Community Leadership Council and Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. AADAP’S very own President & CEO, Mike Watanabe was among the guest speakers along with Ms. Jan Perry, the General Manager of the Los Angeles Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) and the 54th District Assembly Member Sebastian Ridley-Thomas.
There were over 100 community stakeholders in attendance including elected officials and local business owners who enjoyed hosted appetizers, beverages and desserts along with live music from Connect Jazz Band (Local High School Students) and a raffle where several people won Baldwin Hills Plaza Gift Cards and Gift Baskets donated by AADAP. Holiday gifts were collected from attendees and provided to Sanctuary of Hope Development Youth Organization to make the holiday season a little brighter for their transitional age youth.
We want to thank everyone involved and look forward to future collaborations to make our community safer and stronger!
