The Annual Staff Christmas Luncheon was held on December 23rd, 2015, a time for staff, board and residential clients to gather and celebrate together. The program was jam-packed this year, and we want to thank the Holiday Committee for putting on another amazing event.
The first thing that happened was an endless buffet lunch catered by El Pollo Inka. After eating to their hearts’ content, everyone settled down to enjoy the rest of the festivities. The Board members gifted each residential house with a Christmas gift, ranging from an outing to Knott’s Berry Farm to a brand new Ping Pong Table. Contestants of the Best Holiday Hat took the stage to compete for the loudest cheers that would win them first place. The Holiday Committee also provided a Photo Booth for the first time, which was a huge hit with everyone. The entertainment included performances by AADAP staff who performed song and dance numbers including the Christmas Shuffle, and each Residential House also prepared a special song or skit. The highlight was the modern interpretation of a classic Christmas story by the Olympia Academy youth, complete with elaborate fight sequences. The event ended with the agency-wide Secret Santa Exchange, organized by Executive Assistant Jennifer Nishimura.
Thank you for the AADAP Board and President & CEO, Mike Watanabe, for making this celebration possible. Also thank you to Nick Maestas for emceeing the event and bringing humor and laughter. And thank you once again to the Holiday Committee for all their efforts.
