Kaiser Grants $10K for Training

The Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center awarded AADAP a $10,000 grant to assist local residents with Economic Security. The project will support Training for Careers in the Medical Field, which is an industry that is of great interest for many of the West Adams WorkSource customers. Through partnership with licensed training and vocational schools, AADAP and Kaiser Permanente will assist individuals in receiving the necessary training to enter into an entry-level position in the Medical Field, and open the doors for future career growth opportunities.

Representatives from Kaiser Permanente visited AADAP on June 16th, 2017 and sat down for a discussion on how to collaborate on bringing job opportunities to local residents of the Crenshaw Corridor and neighboring areas. Economic Security was identified as one of the key factors affecting health by the Community Health Needs Assessment produced by Kaiser Permanente. Through this collaboration, AADAP and Kaiser Permanente will be hosting hiring events and continue providing information to the local community on job and training opportunities.

AADAP would like to thank Kaiser Permanente for this funding and opportunity to work together, and help our neighborhoods “thrive”.
