A. SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under the supervision of the Unit Coordinator, direct and monitor the evening structure of the Olympic Academy Unit, and ensure that all staff team decisions governing resident treatment needs are adequately enforced.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- MAINTAIN PROGRAM INTEGRITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
OLYMPIC ACADEMY
GOVERNING PRINCIPLES AND PROTOCOLS (75%):
- Assist in orientating new residents to the policies and procedures of the Olympic Academy.
- Assist with transportation needs of the Olympic Academy.
- Schedule and post urinalysis-testing dates for staff implementation.
- Dispense and monitor client medications(s).
- Provide for maintenance of state and local health and safety codes, building security, and residents' welfare.
- Type minutes of staff Unit Meetings and Case Conferences.
- SERVE AS LIAISON BETWEEN PROGRAM STAFF AND THE RESIDENT POPULATIONS (25%):
- Participate in the weekly Case Conference(s).
- Provide feedback on observations made on residents' evening activities and interactions.
- Assist in the development of residents' treatment goals and objectives.
- Document all significant evening developments and interactions in Staff Communications Log.
- Assist with supervision of resident Crew Foreman and House Coordinator.
- Perform other functions as assigned.
C. QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES):
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years of college education related to field or equivalent work experience related to position.
- Valid California Drivers License with proof of Automobile Liability Insurance.
- Must have at least three (3) years of recovery or a drug free lifestyle as of the date of application.
- Must be able to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in computer operations.
- Complete physical examination and TB test upon hiring.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual/bicultural capabilities with Asian/Pacific languages and cultural group.
- Experienced with Therapeutic Community as a treatment modality.
- Ability to develop rapport with addiction.
- Experience with group process.
