A. SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Under the general supervision of the Day Treatment Coordinator, the Satellite House Manager’s major functions include monitoring and supervising the entire house operation and maintenance.

B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (100%):

  1. MONITOR AND SUPERVISE RESIDENTS (60%):
    1. Complete resident intake process, assign rooms, and as necessary implement resident termination procedures.
    2. Facilitate weekly house meeting with residents.
    3. Post weekly chores and house keeping schedules and monitor house keeping duties and responsibilities of residents.
    4. Transport residents to and from the Day Treatment Program and or necessary to medical or emergency appointments.
    5. Report any suspected drug and alcohol use immediately to the Program Coordinator.
    6. Report any violation of curfew to the Program Coordinator.
  2. COLLECT MONTHLY RENTAL PAYMENTS (5%):
    1. Collect rent and food stamps and issue receipts to residents.
    2. Submit money orders, monthly rent fees, and food stamps to the Outpatient Administrative Assistant.
  3. INTERFACE WITH DAY TREATMENT STAFF ON TREATMENT PROGRESS OF RESIDENTS (20%):
    1. Participate in weekly case conference with Day Treatment staff.
    2. Document residents activities and when necessary file incident reports, including, but not limited to accidents of clients and their children.
  4. MONITOR FACILITY MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR NEEDS (5%):
    1. Report maintenance problems to the landlord and to AADAP facility maintenance supervisor.
    2. Conduct routine monitoring and replacement of emergency equipment and supplies.
    3. Designate safe areas for the storage of medications and cleaning supplies and equipment.

C. QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES):

  1. REQUIREMENTS:
    1. Two-year college education related to field or equivalent work experience related to field.
    2. Permanent resident or U.S. Citizen; proof of work eligibility upon hiring.
    3. Valid California Drivers License and current automobile liability insurance.
    4. Must have at least one year of recovery or a drug free lifestyle as of the date of application.
    5. Must be able to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic backgrounds.
    6. Must be able to perform Word and Excel application.
    7. Recent physical examination and TB test necessary upon hiring.
  2. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Experience in Drug and Alcohol treatment.
    2. Ability to work with people with diverse cultural, educational, social, and economic background.
    3. Knowledge in First Aid, CPR, Safety Preparedness and Parenting Techniques.
    4. Willingness to work on a flexible schedule.
