Youth and families are engaged in a wide spectrum of programs committed to provide prevention, intervention and diversion services.

Programs And Services:

  • Parenting and anger management classes
  • Individual, Group and Family Counseling
  • Case management
  • Parent support groups
  • National Youth Program Using Minibikes (NYPUM): a diversion program for high risk students that improve academically and socially that uses supervised minibike outings as incentives for positive change
  • Lifestyles: conflict resolution, life skills training, and counseling for high-risk Gardena HS students
  • Gang Intervention: case management, groups, tutoring, community service, and substance abuse treatment for hard core gang members, 2 nd time offenders, and youth on probation (young men and women)
  • SHARE Tutoring Program: tutoring middle and high school students
  • L.A. Bridges: preventing gang activity on and around Mt. Vernon Middle School through tutoring, gang and substance abuse intervention, family counseling and parent education, mentoring, leadership training, and the performing arts
